POSITION SUMMARY

We are actively seeking experienced office manager to oversee and enhance our office processes for our waste and recycling facility. Office manager work closely with the management team as well as account managers, dispatchers, bookkeeper, social media marketing team, and scale/ warehouse attendants. The Office Manager oversees the administrative operations of the office, ensuring efficient workflow, effective communication, and a well-organized work environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.

OBJECTIVES

Ensure compliance with safety and OSHA, DOT regulations by implementing measures to maintain a safe work environment.
Facilitates clear communication channels to ensure effective coordination and collaborations amongst team members.
Leads and shapes active engagement in daily safety meetings.
Coordinating the daily workflow to ensure an efficient and timely process.
Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance with company policies.
Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
Oversee the maintenance and repair of office equipment, including computers, printers, and copiers.
Liaise with building management for facility-related issues, including repairs, maintenance, and security.
Ensure a clean and organized office environment, including managing cleaning services.
Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
Process invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders in a timely manner.
Monitor office expenses and suggest cost-saving strategies.
Provides effective leadership and support to ensure cohesive and high-performance teams.
Maintaining all business and vehicle registrations / certifications valid and in compliance.
Addresses and resolves issues that may arise during daily operations. While implementing procedures to minimize consistent problems.
Creates and generates reports on KPI illustrating Monthly/ annual net profits, Net profit margins, Gross profit margins, Customer acquisition cost, Customer satisfaction, Website Traffic/ social media, Number of customers, Employee Retention Rate/ Satisfaction. Reviews, Process material rate and other relevant metrics for management review.
Maintain employee records, including attendance, leaves, and performance evaluations.
Assist in onboarding new employees and coordinating employee training sessions.
Serve as the point of contact, including clients, vendors, and visitors.
Facilitate effective communication within the office, including distributing memos, emails, and announcements.
Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events, including arranging venues, catering, and audiovisual equipment.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
4 years of experience in leading teams of 10 or more.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred.
Military or first responder experience is a plus.
Experience in the waste or recycling industry is an extreme plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Capable of standing for long periods of time.
Can withstand extreme heat, cold and wetness.

RECYCLE WORKER

POSITION SUMMARY

We are in search of reliable recycling workers, to add to our growing facility. Recycling workers are the core support of our daily operations. They are also the foundational support for our equipment operators, providing organization and cleanliness to all areas of our facility. Recycling workers also perform various daily tasks that effectively keep our facility within state regulated standards. Recycling workers also work closely with customers to provide an unmatched safe customer experience.

OBJECTIVES

Strong and continuous focus on safety.
Participate in daily safety meeting.
Openly and frequently communicates on two-way radio.
Coordinates with operators and other recycling workers to complete the weekly equipment and facility maintenance.
Regularly assist scale house in checking and directing loads.
Provide an unmatched safe and friendly customer experience, when assisting customers on the transfer station.
Ensure that facilities meets state regulation standards, by keeping waste and other debris centralized to certain areas.
Prepares and tarps trailers for hauler transport.
Picking up waste and debris on road ways leading into and through the facility.
Aid operators in fueling equipment.
Measures and reports fuel measurements from different tanks.
Assist operators in performing pre and post trip inspections.
Determine wind direction daily, to collaborate and determine facility muster points for that day.
Opens and Closes all facility gates and doors daily.


COMPETENCIES

Exhibits a strong willingness to learn safety and OSHA regulation.
Demonstrates a strong knowledge of small engine operations and maintenance. (ie Lawn mower, pressure washer, etc.)
Can identify and make use of basic tools. (ie. Hammer, drill, impact, DOT chain ect.)
Clearly communicates under chain of command order.
Fundamental understanding in mathematics and measurements.
Able to give and accept positive feedback.
efficiently communicates verbally and written.
Works well in small groups of 2 to 5 people.


EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Military or first responder experience is a plus.

Texas Gulf Recycling is a waste and recycling provider, right outside of Boling, TX. We are the premier site for waste disposal and recycling in Wharton County. With a goal of driving waste away from our landfills, Texas Gulf Recycling strives be the one stop shop in Wharton County for waste disposal and recycling needs. As our company grows at a rapid rate, we are looking to bring in exceptional individuals to reach a goal of “No Landfill Waste.” With openings in our management team, for a operations manager. This position requires a reliable, highly organization individual to support our personnel and facility. You will be working directly with outside crews in providing direction to complete daily task and ongoing projects. Any previous experience in waste management, heavy equipment management, scrap metal or logistic management roles is an extreme bonus.

PM MECHANIC

As our company grows at a rapid rate, we are looking to bring in exceptional individuals to reach a goal of “No Landfill Waste.” With openings in our team, for a dependable Preventative Mechanic. This position requires an individual who is dependable, enjoys working with others, flexible to change, detail oriented and is knowledgeable in heavy equipment (i.e., Excavators, Skid Steers, and Wheel loaders). Any previous experience in waste management, gravel and aggregate, scrap metal or logistic industry is an extreme bonus.

Required Skills/ Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience working with diesel engines and/ or heavy equipment.
  • Able to demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic systems, diesel engine repairs, pneumatic and electrical systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance on hydraulic systems, excavators, skid steers, and wheel loaders.
  • Able to read and understand schematic diagrams.
  • Effective communication by written or verbal.
  • Proven capability in trouble shooting.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and log equipment daily.
  • Report and troubleshoot any abnormalities.
  • Grease all equipment weekly.
  • Fuel and check other fluids daily, on all equipment.
  • Help maintain repairs and maintenance logs, for all equipment and trucks.
  • Schedule maintenance for all equipment and trucks.
  • Complete and file all paperwork as required.
  • Assume additional responsibilities/duties as business needs change.

ROLL OFF DRIVERS

As our company grows at a rapid rate, we are looking to bring in exceptional individuals to reach a goal of “No Landfill Waste.” Drivers are required to be reliable, responsible individuals that support our customers dumpster needs in a safe and effective way. Any previous experience in the waste, scrap metal industry is an extreme bonus.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Two years of prior experience driving heavy trucks. Roll off Experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to be able to do perform minor repairs to trucks containers. Drivers will be expected to do minor maintenance on their trucks.
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 30 years of age.
  • Capable of passing a background and drug screening.
  • Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers; works with a sense      of honesty and trustworthiness.
  • Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe      manner.
  • Good follow through ability; adheres to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise.
  • Ability to adhere to Company policies      and rules set forth; promotes Texas Gulf Recycling safety standards; does not take inappropriate risks.

Role Responsibilities

  • Perform & complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the assigned truck in accordance with TGR policy to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on      standard reports.
  • Safely operate his or her heavy truck along designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or      as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor.
  • Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures.
  • Continuously monitor the condition of the vehicle to ensure it is always operationally ready to minimize down time.
  • Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs and other reports, as required.
  • Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

OBJECTIVES

  • Actively troubleshoot issues any equipment that failed a pre or post trip inspection. Coordinate with a mechanic any issues that you and team were unable to resolve. 
  • Loader or skid operators keeps all waste and other debris pushed up in to organized piles, in order to be easily loaded into trailers or grinders. 
  • Excavator operators are required to load waste and debris into trailers or grinders for further transport or processing. 
  • Identify and sort specific commodities.
  • Log and record any maintenance or repairs made on equipment. While ensuring that all logs are keep current. 
  • Routinely plan and schedule regular maintenance on all equipment. 
  • Delegate task to our recycle workers, to effectively keep our facility within state regulated standards.
  • Ensure that all waste and debris have been loaded and removed from transfer station floors at the end of shift. 
  • Conduct end of day meetings to discuss that days achievements and challenges. As well as what to expect in the following day. 
  • Continuous collaboration with management to address equipment and process challenges. 

COMPETENCIES

  • Exhibits a strong knowledge in safety and OSHA regulations. 
  • Demonstrates a strong knowledge of equipment including but not limited to operation and maintenance.
